Singing Bowl Striker – wooden shaft, red suede (smaller version)

Smaller red-suede singing-bowl striker for home practice. Soft, round tone, also for beginners. Order now!

The smaller suede mallet is a perfect choice for a home environment. The wooden shaft sits well in the hand, and the red suede head gives a soft, round tone. You will feel the advantage if you practise with a smaller bowl, or if you do not want to tire your wrist during a longer session. In our experience it also offers a safe entry into sound work for home practitioners, and you will quickly find your own rhythm with it.

Who it is made for

For home practitioners who work with small or medium singing bowls. We also particularly recommend it to beginner practitioners, because the light weight and the soft tone are a safe entry into sound work. For teachers it also fits well into travel luggage thanks to its compact size.

Tonal experience

The suede surface gives a soft tone: striking the bowl yields no sharp, metallic ring, but a rounded, slowly unfolding vibration. Continuous rubbing also begins gently and continues with a pleasant, warming resonance.

Technique

Hold it in the middle or at the end of the shaft, loosely. With a slow, even motion touch or rub the rim of the bowl. Gradually increase the pressure until you reach the desired volume. After a few days of practice you will feel your own rhythm.

Care

Keep it in a dry place. Dust the suede surface with a dry cloth. Avoid water and a hard brush. Over time the surface wears slightly, which is entirely natural and does not impair the sound.

Package and accessories

You receive the striker on its own. If you do not yet have a singing bowl, our range includes suitable pieces. Please contact us with any question – we will help you choose a combination that fits your needs.
