Camel is one of the popular shades of natural suede and gives this striker an understated elegance. You receive an accessory that is pleasing to look at and that produces a soft, warmly unfolding vibration in the bowl. In our experience it also offers a safe entry into sound work for home practitioners, and you will quickly find your own rhythm with it.
Characteristic features of suede
The suede covering does not give a metallic ring when touching the bowl, but a rounded, slowly emerging base tone. This is particularly pleasant for quiet meditation, because the sound does not startle the practitioner, but gently leads into the silence.
How you can use it
As a striker we recommend it for opening or closing a session when you need a clean, slowly fading tone. As a rubber it creates continuous resonance on the rim, giving a flowing, sound-bath-like effect. Skilfully alternating the two enriches the session with layers.
Size and fit
This version is made in a medium size and suits many kinds of bowls. If you are unsure about the size of your bowl, write to us with the diameter and we will help you choose. In our experience it fits bowls between 18 and 28 cm best.
Care
Keep it in a dry place. You can dust the suede surface with a dry cloth. Avoid water, chemicals, and a hard brush. Over time the surface wears slightly, which is a natural part of use and does not impair the sound.
What is included in the package
We ship the striker on its own, without a singing bowl or cushion. If you are still building your basic kit, our range also offers a matching bowl and support cushion. Write at any time if you need help with the choice.
