The designation “version 3” in our series marks a striker in a slightly premium category: more careful craftsmanship, selected suede, a well-balanced shaft. You receive an accessory that meets the needs of a practised hand as well. In our experience it also offers a safe entry into sound work for home practitioners, and you will quickly find your own rhythm with it.
What version 3 means
The marking indicates a refined design within the series: the mass of the suede head is a little greater, the shaft is a little longer, and the whole piece is in good balance. More experienced practitioners feel this refinement in the subtle shades of the strike.
Who it is made for
For sound therapists, yoga teachers, and retreat leaders who use strikers in daily practice. Also for more discerning home practitioners who have already found their own style and appreciate the fine differences in the quality of a striker.
Tonal character
The greater mass of the head safely sounds the deeper base tone of the bowl. Overtones build up slowly and richly. With continuous rubbing the soft surface of the suede calls forth a pleasant, warmly lasting resonance that holds for a long time.
Grip and technique
Hold it around the middle of the shaft, loosely. Thanks to the good balance it is not tiring even after longer use. As an experienced practitioner you can achieve, with finer motions, that the full sound of the bowl unfolds.
Care
Keep it in a dry place, protect it from direct sunlight. Dust the surface with a dry cloth. The suede wears slowly and favourably during use and keeps the character of the tone for a long time. With proper handling it will be your faithful companion for years.
