Singing Bowl Striker – with black suede covering – smaller size

Black suede-covered singing bowl striker for smaller bowls. A softer, warmer tone for beginner practice and quiet home meditation moments daily.

What is this suede-covered striker for?

If you have a smaller singing bowl (around 16-19 cm) and want to play its sound more gently and softly, this black suede-covered striker was made exactly for you. The soft covering rounds off the tone: the strike is less sharp, and the circular motion slides more pleasantly along the rim, so a calmer, warmer sound builds up from the bowl.

How is it different from a plain wooden striker?

A fully wooden striker gives a stronger, brighter tone. The suede covering, however, softens the first edge of the strike and makes the continuous humming of the circular motion gentler. Many people choose it because they want to play their singing bowl in the evening, before sleep, or next to a small child without the sound being too pronounced.

Material and craftsmanship

The inner part of the striker is wood, and the upper, striking end is covered with a black suede-like fabric. The handle is comfortably sized, light and easy to hold. It can be held comfortably even during longer circular playing, without tiring the wrist.

How to use it most effectively?

Place the bowl on a soft cushion, then press the striker at an angle in a circular motion to the outside of the rim. The covered part does the actual playing. For a strike, simply touch the rim once, gently. After a few minutes of practice, you will feel at what angle and with what pressure the bowl sounds longest.

Cleaning and care

Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture and dishwashing liquid. If it gets dusty, dust it gently. Store the striker in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Cared for this way, it will keep its softness and pleasant sound for a long time.
