A light, stretchy shungite bracelet of natural beads around 8 mm. The deep-black, matte-metallic stone makes a clean yet characterful piece for everyday wear.
Shungite, the geological fact
Shungite is a black, carbon-rich rock more than two billion years old, one of Earth's most ancient minerals. Its structure lies between amorphous carbon and graphite, and it contains fullerene, a rare spherical molecule of carbon; as type II shungite it is 50-90% carbon. Its classic source is Karelia in Russia.
Tradition and wearing
Tradition associates shungite with harmonising a space and a composed presence; many regard it as a companion for grounding, this is tradition, not proven fact. The elastic cord slips over most wrists, and as a natural stone, every bead is unique.
