The depiction of Shiva in Hindu tradition
Shiva is one of the most recognised figures of Hindu tradition, often portrayed in a seated, meditative posture. This small metal figurine preserves the classic features: long hair tied in a topknot, the third eye on the forehead and a calm, inward-looking expression. You receive a hand-finished piece connected to India's long heritage of traditional sculpture.
Where to place it at home?
A favourite spot for this figurine is a home altar or a so-called „quiet corner”, where it sits alongside books, candles or a few stones. Many customers keep it on a study shelf or at the corner of a desk so that the eye can rest on it during work. A calm, well-lit place is best, away from direct water spray or strong heat sources.
Material and craftsmanship details
The figurine is cast from metal in an Indian workshop. The surface is shaped so that details — folds of the garment, jewellery, facial features — remain clearly visible. As a hand-finished item, no two pieces are ever fully identical, which gives it its true craft character. The price is per one piece.
Cleaning and long-lasting use
A soft, dry cloth is enough to remove dust. Avoid strong cleaners, as they may dull the finish over time. If you wipe it damp, dry it immediately afterwards. This way the figurine will keep its slightly patinated look for years and remain a homely detail on the shelf or altar.
Who is it for and what occasions?
We recommend it to those who like understated yet characterful decor, and to anyone looking for a thoughtful gift for a friend interested in meditation, yoga or Eastern culture. You receive a modest-sized but eye-catching piece that can easily start a conversation among guests as well.
