Column flower stand in terracotta and gold
The terracotta and gold Shaman Tree Flower Stand is the warm, grounded variant of the series. The 46 cm tall, 19.5 cm diameter column is painted in a rich terracotta, reminiscent of sun-baked clay and Tuscan hills, then finished with hand-painted gold vine motifs. The contrast here is refined and noble rather than dramatic — a quieter companion to the turquoise version.
Pairing and placement
The terracotta tone feels familiar thanks to traditional clay pottery, and the gold adds a touch of luxury. It looks particularly fine in book-filled living rooms, dining areas or country houses. Plant pairings that sing: a miniature olive bonsai for a Mediterranean double hit, golden-variegated pothos or fig whose yellow foliage echoes the gold, or a burgundy rubber plant whose warm tones complement the base.
Load and care
The 1.4 kg weight lends good balance; the 19.5 cm top accommodates a 16-18 cm pot and up to 5-10 kg of plant. Avoid 15 kg plus, especially point loads. The terracotta base is less UV-sensitive than the turquoise, so a sunny window spot is fine. Dust weekly and wipe with a damp cloth monthly. Refresh the finish every six months with wax or oil. Each piece passes through three hands in Bali — turner, base painter and gilder — which is why every pattern is subtly unique.
