A complete, seven-piece lotus mood light set in the seven chakra colours, with a silver rim. The cool silver frame gives the warm colours a moonlit, modern mood.
The lotus and the chakras
The lotus is a symbol of the path from darkness into light, from ignorance into knowledge; tradition also links it to the seven main energy centres, the chakras. Each piece in the set echoes one chakra colour: from the red of the root chakra through sacral orange, navel yellow, heart green, throat blue and brow indigo to the violet of the crown.
Material and finish
Capiz is the translucent outer shell of a marine mollusc, Placuna placenta (the windowpane oyster). It takes its name from the town of Capiz on the Philippine island of Panay. Once cleaned, the shell turns translucent, and when painted it lets light and colour play together. Capiz is a natural material, so small irregularities may appear. The petals are held by a silver frame, and each piece measures about 13.5×5.5 cm.
Light and mood
The petals are made of translucent capiz panes on a fine metal frame. The light of a tealight glows softly through them, casting a warm shimmer. For safety, a LED tealight is recommended. It measures about 13.5×5.5 cm. The seven pieces can be arranged in a row, a circle or at different points in the room – in a yoga space, a meditation corner or a living room.
Good to know
Capiz is a natural material, so each piece is unique and the shades may vary slightly. Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
