What makes the disc distinctive
This round selenite plate is made from natural mineral painted in a delicate peach shade. The pattern engraved on its surface adds a decorative detail and highlights the play of light in the mineral. The thickness of the disc makes it stand stably on a shelf or table on its own. You receive a decorative piece that appears in the home with a pleasingly soft tone.
Why the peach shade is special
Selenite is traditionally a white-coloured mineral, so the peach tone is a more unusual appearance. The shade is warm and softening, which is useful as a counterbalance to cool whites. Many customers choose it for exactly this reason: in a home it fits perfectly alongside warm textiles and wooden elements and creates a friendly rather than cold atmosphere.
How it fits into the home
On a bedside table as a jewellery holder, on a dressing table for rings, earrings or as a coaster for a perfume bottle. In the living room on the coffee table as a standalone decoration, or as a base under a small candle. On a desk it can serve under a coffee cup or as a tiny store for small important items. It also stands on its own in the middle of a shelf.
Care for the engraved surface
The engraved pattern is cut into the soft surface of the selenite, so it deserves special attention. Never clean it with water, because water damages the mineral surface and may dull the pattern. Wipe it with a dry, soft cloth. Remove dust from the fine engraving with a soft brush. Do not place heavy or sharp items on top.
Natural differences
As these are natural mineral pieces, the intensity of the peach shade, the direction of the striation and the small variations of the engraved pattern differ from piece to piece. You will not receive two identical items. This is exactly why it is worth choosing this piece: nature and handwork together provide unique value.
