Selenite Moon Shape Bowl

Crescent moon-shape selenite bowl, 14-16 cm long, gently arched form. For storing jewellery, minerals, or as empty decoration. Unique translucent white stone.

This variant is another piece in the crescent moon-shape selenite bowl line. Its form is similar to the previous one but may differ in size, arc and striation. Each piece is unique, so you receive a bowl with its own face, one that no one else has in exactly the same form.

The arc of the crescent moon

The bowl is not completely symmetrical: one end of the crescent is typically longer, the other slightly shorter, as the waning or waxing moon shows in the sky. The depression has uniform depth throughout, about 1-2 cm, so small items are securely held but do not sink into it.

Use ideas

Many people put the bowl on a dressing table as a jewellery holder: ring, necklace, earring, watch. Others place it on a coffee table decorated with small dried plants. A cosy idea is to set two bowls next to each other — one with a tealight, the other with a smaller polished crystal — creating balance on the surface.

Kitchen or bathroom ideas

In the kitchen, next to spices, you can place a piece of coarse salt, paprika or dried herbs in it as decoration (not for food!). In the bathroom be careful: although it is tempting to keep a small decorative bowl there, selenite is sensitive to steam, so we recommend the bedroom or living room shelf instead.

Size and weight

The length is 14-16 cm, width 5-7 cm, depth 1-2 cm. The weight is 200-350 g, so it is light but stable — easily lifted with one motion, and does not tip if you walk past it.

Care

Never wash with water. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth if dusty. If you find any stain, gently rub it with a barely damp cloth, then immediately wipe with a dry cloth. During storage, do not place it under or next to a heavy object, as the crescent tips are its weakest points.
