This round, white incense holder is made of natural selenite, with a gold-coloured Flower of Life engraving on its surface. The stone's soft, moon-like glow and the fine geometric pattern give a calm, clean mood. It is about 9 cm across.

About selenite

Most stones sold as selenite are in fact satin spar – selenite is a more transparent crystal, while satin spar is more whitish, with a silky sheen. The name comes from the Greek moon goddess Selene, for the soft, moon-like shimmer when light shines through. In tradition, both selenite and satin spar are linked to the third eye and crown chakras. This meaning belongs to the stone's cultural story rather than to any medical effect.

The Flower of Life

The Flower of Life is a geometric pattern of regularly arranged, intersecting circles – one of the best-known symbols of sacred geometry. In tradition it is regarded as a symbol of harmony and wholeness. The gold engraving stands out gently on the white stone.

Use

The holder is made for thin incense sticks: the stick fits into the hole, and the stone catches the falling ash. It looks lovely on a table or in a meditation corner. Do not leave a flame or a smouldering stick unattended.

Good to know

Selenite is a soft, water-sensitive stone, so wipe it with a dry cloth and avoid moisture. This is a natural stone, so colour and surface may vary slightly from piece to piece.
