The character of the iceberg shape
This piece is not polished smooth — quite the opposite: only the tealight cavity is carved out of the natural selenite block, while the rest stays raw, jagged, like a small iceberg. You receive a little piece of natural sculpture that reminds you of a mini ice statue, only made from a mineral.
How it lights up
Place an ordinary tealight inside (the round, aluminium-cup candles). When you light the flame, the light passes through the translucent areas of the selenite. The surface is whitish in some places, almost transparent in others, and the light flows through with different intensities. The result is a warm, gentle point of light in the room — far more atmospheric than an ordinary glass holder.
Where it looks good
It suits a dining table, coffee table, living-room shelf or windowsill equally well. Placed on the dinner table during an evening gathering, it immediately adds a unique atmosphere. If you prefer warm, natural light to cold LEDs, this piece offers exactly that.
Safety and care
Use only ordinary tealights (the small aluminium-cup type). Never use higher-temperature candles or open flames without a cup. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Selenite is not a heat-resistant rock, so please keep an eye on it whenever the flame is burning. Clean the surface with a dry cloth, never with water.
What to expect when buying
Every piece is hand-shaped from a raw selenite block, so the form, height and jagged lines differ from one to another. Your piece will be a unique work — slightly different from the photo, but with the same character and the same mood.
