What 'natural shape' means
We did not cast or machine-form the crystal. We polished the base smooth so it stands by itself, but the rest of the surfaces retain the original form of the rock. Each piece has a different pattern: some show finer striations, others have wider bands running through them.
Sheen and light transmission
Selenite gives a silky glow. If you place it in sunlight filtered through a curtain, the crystal's interior glows gently, as if tiny light-threads were running inside. In evening light it shimmers more calmly, like a candle in the corner.
Unique sizes
The height is typically between 8 and 12 cm, the width and thickness vary by piece. You receive a piece of similar size but unique pattern. This also means that if you order a second one for your shelf, the two will not be identical — and that is exactly the beauty of a natural mineral collection.
Where it suits
On a desk, a bookshelf, a window sill or a quiet corner of a room. Some people place it on their bedroom nightstand, others on a living room dresser. Wherever it stands, it brings a gentle atmosphere to the space.
Care tips
Keep it dry. Do not let it come into contact with water or humid air. If it gathers dust, brush it gently with a dry, soft brush. When moving it, wrap it in soft cloth, as selenite can crack even from a small knock.
