The selenite iceberg lamp is an object that is already a remarkable sight on its own, but it becomes truly special when switched on. The stone is natural-shaped: a distinctive iceberg outline with a tip at the top and a more substantial base, where the wooden stand holds it stably.
How it lights
In the base there is a small socket with a low-consumption warm-light bulb. The light does not come directly from the top of the lamp but disperses through the body of the selenite. Because of the silky fibrous structure of the mineral, the light is not sharp and not scattering but a soft, yellowish-white glow — just like the calm of a candle, only constant.
When its use is beautiful
For evening reading next to the armchair. As mood-lighting in the bedroom on the shelf next to the bed. In the living room on a chest of drawers or low cabinet, where it does not give a light strong enough to disturb the eyes during dinner or conversation. The lamp does not replace main lighting, it complements it like a candle — only more reliably.
Size and switching
The iceberg height is typically 20-25 cm, with the base 23-28 cm. The cord is about 1.5 m long, fitted with a plug. The switch is built into the cord, switched on and off with a simple pull-motion. The bulb is energy-saving, so it can safely burn all evening.
Unique pieces
Every iceberg is unique: the height of the form, the density of the striation, the degree of translucency vary per piece. You receive a similar but uniquely shaped piece. The base is uniform — natural wood with a darker tone — and every lamp stands stably on it.
Maintenance
Wipe the lamp dry. Do not leave it in a humid spot (near a bathroom or sink). Bulb replacement is simple: pull off the top, insert a new bulb of the same type into the socket. Always unplug from the mains before touching. Do not wash the selenite body with water and protect it from falls.
