Shape and finish
The holder is heart-shaped from the outside with a round cavity in the centre for the tealight. The whole piece is made from a single selenite block, the edge is polished smooth, so you can pick it up safely. The surface is satin-matt, not glossy — which makes it soft to the touch and pleasantly understated.
How it glows, what the mood is
Place a standard tealight inside and light it. The flame's light passes through the translucent parts of the selenite, filling the small area around the shelf with a warm, gentle glow. It is not as bright as a floor lamp — rather an intimate, atmospheric little point of light that looks especially lovely in the evening when the main lamp is off.
When and where to use it
On the table for a romantic dinner, on a bathroom counter corner beside a relaxing bath, on a bedroom bedside table, or on a living-room shelf for an evening read. People often choose it as a gift for an anniversary or for a close friend — the heart shape is a kind, personal choice.
Safety notice
Use only standard small aluminium-cup tealights. Higher-temperature candles without a cup are NOT recommended, since selenite is not a heat-resistant rock. Never leave a lit candle unattended, and do not place it close to easily flammable material (curtain, paper book).
Care
Never wash it with water; selenite is water-sensitive. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. A small soot mark can be removed with a slightly damp cloth, but dry it immediately afterwards. With careful handling, it will keep its original soft moon-white appearance for many years.
