We recommend the heart-shaped selenite candle holder to those who like to light a tealight in the evening and are looking for a holder that is itself decorative. The mineral's white colour and silky surface are pleasant to look at on their own; with a flame, they create a particularly special effect.
The meeting of light and stone
When you light the tealight in the cavity, the flame slowly warms the inside of the stone. Selenite is translucent, so the light does not stop at the surface but spreads through it. The outline of the heart glows softly, as if warmth were coming from within. This is a sight that looks especially beautiful in the evening, when the daylight has calmed.
Size and use
The cavity is made to hold an average tealight (about 4 cm diameter, 1.5-2 cm tall). The total width of the heart is about 9-10 cm, height 7-8 cm — exactly the right size for a nightstand, dining table or shelf next to the bathroom.
What it is good for in the evening
A quiet evening, after a bath, before dinner, or next to a book. Many of our customers keep this in their bedroom for the moments before sleep: it does not give a light strong enough to disturb falling asleep, but it is enough to glow softly while you settle in.
Unique pieces
Each heart holder differs slightly from the others. The fineness of the striation, the strength of light transmission and the colour shade vary slightly per piece, but the shape and size remain a steady heart with a tealight-sized cavity.
Important: we are talking about a tealight
Only use metal-cup, burnout-protected tealight candles in it. Open flame, long candles, or openly burning paraffin are not recommended — selenite is a soft mineral, and excessive heat can damage it over time. After use, let it cool down before touching.
