Scolecite tumbled stone: a delicate, whitish-translucent zeolite with a soft sheen. Tradition knows it as a stone of inward stillness.
What is scolecite?
Scolecite is a mineral of the zeolite family, typically white, colourless or pale, often growing as fine needle-like or radiating crystals. Its glassy-to-silky lustre and translucency give it a fragile, distinctive beauty. Tumbled, the surface is smooth and scatters light gently, making it a calm, understated stone.
In the language of tradition
Crystal lore regards scolecite as a stone of inner peace and clarity; tradition links it to the crown chakra, and it is said to accompany deeper meditation and a quieting of thought. Many know it as a stone of stillness and inward attention — though this is the language of experiential tradition, not proven fact.
Holding it & good to know
Each piece is roughly 1.5–3.5 cm. As a natural mineral, every piece is unique: colour, shape and size may vary a little from the photograph. The tumbled stones are smooth to the touch and sit neatly in the palm, which makes them popular as a companion stone, a focus point for meditation, or simply a quiet detail in a room. A little lukewarm water and a soft cloth are enough to clean them; no harsh chemicals are needed.
