The tone associated with Saturn
This tuning fork is tuned to 147.9 Hz. This frequency was calculated from the orbital period of the planet Saturn and converted into an audible tone, which is why it is called a planet tuning fork. In practice this means a deep, calm, long-sustained tone that you not only hear but can also feel as a gentle vibration when the fork is placed on the body.
How to use the 147.9 Hz fork
Strike the fork on a soft surface, such as the pad of your palm or a rubber pad, then hold it to your ear or, holding it by the handle, touch its base to the body. In sound therapy, deeper forks are used mainly for relaxation, calming the mind and accompanying soothing treatments. As a beginner you have nothing to worry about: using a tuning fork can be learned in a few minutes.
Black steel, maple handle
The fork is made of steel with a matt black finish, and its handle is maple wood, giving a pleasant, warm grip. At approx. 20.6 cm long and only 74 grams, it fits into a handbag, so you can take it anywhere.
