The seven colours together in one set
You hold a set in which each of the seven pieces is carved from a different mineral, and the colours follow the seven chakra hues in turn: from deep red through orange, yellow, green, blue and indigo to violet. The shapes follow the classical forms of sacred geometry.
The five Platonic solids and the companion forms
The set contains the five Platonic solids – the tetrahedron, the cube, the octahedron, the dodecahedron and the icosahedron – together with a sphere and one further companion shape. Each form is well finished, crisply carved, and the natural patterns of the minerals give each piece its own character.
Contemplation along the chakras
The Eastern tradition speaks of seven subtle centres along the line of the spine. With this set you can walk through that sequence: you may begin with the red-toned piece and close with the violet one. Holding a piece in your palm, you can rest quietly and observe your breath.
Placement at home
The meditation corner, the back of a writing desk, a free shelf in the bookcase and the bedside table are all suitable places. Some people arrange the pieces on a long wooden tray so that the seven colours form a clear line. The morning light gently illuminates the surfaces.
Care and storage
The hardness of the different minerals varies, so it is wise to keep the pieces in a soft fabric pouch or a lined box. Wipe the surfaces from time to time with a soft, dry cloth. Protect the stones from sharp knocks and falls, since the edges and corners may be damaged. Strong direct sunlight is also best avoided.
