A vivid blue, stone-look surface and the well-known protective eye motif – a characterful yet calm mug for those who love symbol-rich pieces. With a large handle and an easy-to-grip shape.
About the design
The blue eye (known in tradition as the nazar) is an old protective symbol of the Mediterranean and the Near East; folklore regards it as a sign of safekeeping and good intentions. The deep blue tone radiates strength and clarity.
Material and finish
The speckled, stone-look exterior gives a rustic, handmade feel, while the glazed interior is easy to clean. The large, comfortable handle sits well in the hand – ideal for curling up on the couch after a long day. The mug is microwave and dishwasher safe, so it is fuss-free in everyday use. Bone china blends kaolin, feldspar and quartz with at least 35% bone ash; it is the strongest porcelain there is, with a characteristic ivory hue, fired at around 1250 °C. The capacity is 400 ml, enough for a generous serving.
Who it is for
For anyone who likes a symbolic, slightly mystical style; a nice gift too. The large handle and stable shape feel good in everyday use.
