Wild rocket (Pepper mustard) is not only healthy and tasty, but a beautiful plant too. Simple to grow, fast-growing, prolific in small spaces. Young, tender leaves have a peppery, slightly hot flavour; with age, becomes hotter.
Growing
Sow in March–September in successive batches. Row and plant spacing 20 cm, sowing depth 1 cm.
Italian salad mixes, pizza topping after baking, pesto, with cheese and tomato. Classic Mediterranean ingredient.
