Rudraksha and Shell Bracelet – Elastic, Nepalese

Elastic bracelet with rudraksha seeds and conch shell beads from Nepal. 8 mm beads, packed in a paper bag. For daily wear and as a thoughtful gift.

Two materials, one bracelet

This elastic bracelet brings together two special materials: rudraksha seeds and round beads pressed from conch shell powder. The beads are about eight millimetres in diameter, so it fits comfortably on slimmer women's and men's wrists alike. Strung on elastic cord, it slips on easily with no clasp needed.

The rudraksha seed

Rudraksha is the seed of a large tree, valued for centuries in Hindu and Buddhist tradition. The natural grooves on each seed make every bead unique. Many wearers see them as a small blessing and feel they are a quiet support in daily life.

The shell bead

The shell beads are bright off-white and bring the soft mood of the sea to the bracelet. In Hindu tradition the conch is linked to the sound Om, which represents the voice of the universe. In Buddhist culture it symbolises the call to awaken, which is why it is an important ritual object.

How to wear it

The elastic bracelet simply slips onto the wrist. Because it is handmade, small differences in size may occur, but it generally fits an adult wrist nicely. If you plan to go in water, it is better to take it off, as the elastic cord and natural materials last longer when worn dry.

For which occasion

It is meant for daily wear, and it also makes a thoughtful gift. Put it on in the morning if you want to ease into a calmer day, or call upon it as a small tangible reminder before meditation. Stored in a soft cloth or the paper bag it comes in, it stays fresh for a long time.
