Sound and character
The small round stand at 28 cm height does not affect the monochord's own voice, but provides stable, vibration-free contact so the instrument's rich, long-sustaining tones can radiate without interference. The finely turned handles secure the stand firmly, so no extra rattles or noises arise while playing.
How to use
The stand is designed for Monolini and Monolina monochords and is ideal for playing on a lower meditation cushion or seated on the floor. With the finely turned ash wood handles it can be mounted to the instrument by hand without any tools. The playing angle of the monochord can be adjusted continuously. A special advantage of this model is that, with the RS-28EX extension, it can be raised to 65 cm — so it is also suitable for playing while seated on a chair.
Why this product
If you are looking for a flexible solution that serves both low-seated and chair-height playing, this extendable round stand is a perfect choice. Its compact size and light weight also make it ideal for travel, and it fits well into the Monolina carry bag.
Care tips
- Tighten the handles by hand only; never use tools.
- Find the most comfortable playing angle by experimenting: every sound massage or meditation calls for a different tilt.
- Always attach the extension on a stable surface so the instrument does not tip over.
- Keep dry and refresh the hardwax-oil finish once a year if needed.
