Slightly larger yet still comfortable size
The 9 cm diameter is a touch more airy than the classic tealight holder. There is more space around the tealight, and the carved dots show beautifully on the upper rim. You receive a holder that is easier to clean and that lets you remove wax residue more simply because of the wider shape.
Dotted decoration on a natural material
The artisan carves the dotted pattern by hand into the upper rim. The arrangement is regular yet slightly free-flowing – because it is human, not machine work. The natural grey of soapstone provides the background: cool, fine yet warm in tone.
Evening and daytime use
In the evening, a lit tealight brings warm light to your room: it looks attractive during reading or quiet conversation. In daytime, even without a candle, it remains decorative: a dried flower, a small pebble, or a bonbon can sit inside. You can experiment freely with its use.
What to watch out for
Soapstone is solid but can crack from a sudden fall. Always place it on a stable surface. The tealight flame is relatively small but still an open flame – do not leave it in reach of children or pets. After long use the stone warms, so place it on a heatproof surface.
Gentle cleaning
Pick out wax residue carefully when cooled, using a wooden toothpick or bamboo stick. Wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth, paying special attention to the dotted carved rim where small flakes may catch. If stained, use a cloth dampened with lukewarm water, but never soak it. Strong detergents may harm the stone's fine tone, so avoid them, and the natural grey colour stays attractive for many years to come.
