On this pendulum, both the round frame and the chain are a warm copper tone. Inside the frame sits a star-shaped rose quartz, with a long green aventurine point below. It is about 25 cm long including the chain and was made in India.
A pink star in a copper-tone frame
The pale pink star and the green aventurine make a warm, fresh colour pair beside the copper tone. Aventurine gets its green colour and glitter from tiny flakes of green mica inside, so its point sparkles softly in the light.
Rose quartz is held to be the stone of love, and green aventurine of luck and prosperity. Both are relatives of quartz, so they are hard enough for everyday use.
Where to keep it at home
When not in use, hang it on a hook where you can see it but where it is not in the sun all day, as strong light can fade rose quartz. A hallway or the side of a bookcase can be a good spot. Put the hook where the stone cannot knock against the wall.
To ask a question, take it down, sit at a table and hold the end of the chain between two fingers. Wait until the star is still before you ask. The pointed aventurine shows the direction of the swing clearly.
Natural stones, slightly different colours
The shade of the rose quartz and the green of the aventurine vary from piece to piece, so yours will not look exactly like the photo. Wipe the frame and chain with a soft, dry cloth and do not soak them in water. If you are giving it as a gift, it fits in a small jewellery box.
