Roma VF tomato is one of the most famous classic Italian-bred varieties — one of the oldest and most popular traditional tomatoes. Medium-sized home garden variety with firm fruits, weighing 50–70 g, elongated in shape. Easy to peel, equally suitable for fresh eating and for pizza and pasta dishes. The VF designation means verticillium and fusarium resistance — low spraying requirement.
Sowing and use
Sowing time: March in seed trays. Transplanting: May. Spacing: 50×40 cm. Sowing depth 0.5 cm. Thanks to its disease resistance, very little spraying is required.
The fruits ripen continuously in July–August. Typically recommended for Italian cuisine — pizza sauce, tomato pasta, roasted tomatoes. Easy to peel, so it's also perfect for peeled tomato preserves. A true everyday tomato for the Mediterranean-style kitchen.
