A larger 3–4 cm tumbled clear quartz with a translucent, light-refracting look – it fills the palm nicely, making a lovely palm stone, decoration or collector’s piece. The clarity of A-quality stones is especially fine.
The stone of clear quartz
Clear quartz is colourless, transparent quartz (SiO₂), found worldwide; its Mohs hardness is around 7. Its clear, well-formed pieces refract light beautifully. In crystal lore it is known as a ‘master crystal’, the energy stone, and tradition holds that it strengthens intention, clears a space and is often described as an amplifier of other stones.
The larger piece and A quality
At 3–4 cm this is a substantial palm stone; the translucence and light of A-quality stones are especially fine. As a natural mineral, its subtle internal marks give each one character, and every piece is unique.
Ways to use it
Its larger size makes it a lovely stand-alone accent on a shelf or desk, a clear, focusing palm stone to hold during meditation, and a favourite in mixed mineral arrangements.
Care and good to know
This is a durable mineral, yet it is worth protecting from knocks and scratches. Rinse under lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
