Sound and character
This handcrafted mallet draws a soft yet defined tone from ritual drums. The leather-capped, wool-filled head absorbs the hardness of the strike and produces a rich, full fundamental, while the natural momentum of your stroke is preserved. The wild-gathered wooden handle offers a pleasant balance and transmits every movement clearly to the drum head.
How to use
The mallet is ideal for ritual drums, frame drums and shamanic drums. Hold the handle loosely and let the head fall onto the skin under its own weight – this gives you the fullest sound. A firmer grip produces a drier, more percussive tone suitable for dance or meditative rhythms.
Why this product
You receive a mallet that respects the voice of the drum: it does not strike, it invites. Thanks to the natural materials and the handwork, every piece is unique and can serve you faithfully for years in ceremonies, sound circles or personal practice.
Care tips
- Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, so the felt and leather do not dry out.
- Keep out of reach of children – the rounded head may resemble a lollipop.
- Occasionally brush the felt head gently to maintain its springiness.
