Expansion pins for the Rhythm Pin Board
This set contains 4 medium Rhythm Pins for the Rhythm Pin Board. The board works by inserting pins of different shapes into its holes, making rhythms visible and tangible: the small pin marks the tap sound, the medium pin the snare sound, and the large pin the bass. With this set you get four additional medium pins, the ones marking the snare sound.
When do you need extra medium pins?
The basic board set includes 8 medium pins. If you want to lay out longer or more complex rhythms, or work with several students at once, the snare pins can run out quickly. This expansion set solves the problem by extending your existing kit, so you do not need to buy another board.
Why does hands-on rhythm learning work?
While laying out a rhythm, the learner sees, touches and acts at the same time, so rhythmic patterns are not only understood but also firmly anchored in memory. Music teachers use this multisensory approach successfully with beginners and advanced students, children and adults alike.
