Add-on pins for the Rhythm Pin Board
This pack contains four large rhythm pins to extend the pin set of the separately available Rhythm Pin Board. The board is a visual teaching tool for music lessons: by inserting differently shaped pins into its holes, rhythms become not only audible but also visible and touchable.
Why does a touchable rhythm help?
Combining seeing, feeling and doing makes learning more effective: in practice, the student does not just hear the rhythm but lays it out with their own hands, so it is anchored much more firmly in memory. From simple quarter notes to more complex patterns, any rhythm can be laid out, which makes the board and pins suitable for learners of all ages.
When do you need spare or extension pins?
If you work with groups - in school music lessons, at a music school or in workshops - longer and more complex rhythm lines may require more pins than the basic set provides. This four-piece pack is a simple answer to that, and it is also handy as a replacement if a pin goes missing over time.
Practical details
The pack measures just 5 × 5 × 2 cm and weighs barely 10 grams, so it fits in an instrument bag or even a pencil case. Made in Germany, and fits the holes of the manufacturer's Rhythm Pin Board system.
