Sound and character
When you draw a bow across the Klangdelfin's strings, spherical, floating tones unfold. After a while overtones layer above the clear fundamental and tiny melodies appear in the room. This is the experience that has made the Klangdelfin so popular in therapy settings, and the original string is what preserves that exact upper layer.
How to use
Replace the string when the overtone voice sounds dull or the string is visibly worn. Hook the loop end onto its anchor and tighten the string slowly and gradually. With the bow it takes a few seconds for the string to truly speak: give the new string time to settle in.
Why this product
You choose this string when you want to restore the Klangdelfin's original floating sound exactly. Feeltone calculates and produces these strings specifically for their own products, so only an original replacement preserves the sound picture.
Care tips
- The bare metal ends are sharp; handle with care.
- The end may snap out when uncoiling the string.
- Rosin the bow generously so the overtones speak clearly.
- Slow, long bow strokes give the richest overtone spectrum.
- Expect more frequent tuning during the first days as the string stretches.
