Sound and character
This wound bass string brings back the deep, full fundamental of A-tuned feeltone monochords. The brass winding produces a thick, carrying tone that turns into a tangible body vibration close to the instrument. The A fundamental has a particularly deep, grounding character that fits deep relaxation and body-centred sound therapy especially well.
How to use
Replace the string when its tone has lost fullness, when the winding is visibly worn, or when the string has broken. feeltone designs and produces these strings specifically for its own instruments, so you should stay with the factory replacement to preserve the original sound. Loosen the old string, remove it, thread in the new one and bring it slowly and evenly up to A.
Why this product
Because this is the original factory string calibrated to the MO-21A and MO-34A models. With a bass string the precise gauge and material matter especially, since a different winding thickness changes not only the pitch but the character of the entire fundamental. If you use your instrument in therapy work, you should choose the original.
Care tips
- Tune gradually and never push past the target pitch.
- The bare ends are sharp, work carefully when you uncoil the string.
- Retune the new string often during the first days.
- Sealed, intact packs are returnable.
