A replacement filter for the 2.5-litre stainless steel P-AW electric water fountain. It is a white, cylinder-shaped insert with a short stem on top. You get one filter insert, made in China.
When is it time to change it?
Wherever a dog or cat drinks, hair, specks of dust and crumbs of food end up in the water. In the fountain the water circulates through the filter, so over time the insert catches a lot of this and fills up.
Change it as the fountain's user manual describes. If you notice the water trickling more slowly, or the insert has changed colour, that's also a good time to put in a new one.
If several pets drink from the fountain, or your cat has long fur, the filter fills up sooner and needs changing more often. When it wears out, there's no need to replace the whole fountain, only the insert.
Changing the filter step by step
First unplug the USB lead, and only then touch the fountain. Take off the lid, remove the old filter and fit the new one. While the fountain is apart, wash the tank too before you fill it with fresh water.
It only takes a couple of minutes. Keep unopened spare filters somewhere clean and dry, such as the fountain's box.
One insert, as a spare
The photo shows four filters side by side, but you receive one filter insert. If you'd like spares in advance, set the quantity in your basket, so you won't need to reorder at the next change.
This filter is made for the P-AW fountain. It may not fit another make, so we recommend it only for this fountain.
