K-3 F1 tomato is the classic Hungarian determinate hybrid: an early, low-growing variety bred for unheated tunnel cultivation and early outdoor planting. The fruits are round, firm, and uniform in colour, weighing 80–120 g. A favourite among Hungarian home growers and small commercial producers for decades.
Sowing and care
Sowing time: February–March in seed trays, transplant outdoors after frost. Row spacing 70 cm, plant spacing 40 cm. Determinate growth means no pinching out side shoots is needed — the plant stops at a natural height of around 60–80 cm.
K-3 F1 is reliable and disease-tolerant, with uniform ripening that makes harvest efficient. Ideal for sauces, canning and fresh eating. The flesh is firm enough for stuffing and slicing, and the plant produces a heavy first crop perfect for summer salads and home preserving.
