Redei Salad Peas (Green Peas) for Sprouting and Microgreens — 50g
Green pea sprouts are one of the easiest and most rewarding sprouting projects you can try at home. Sweet, mildly nutty in flavour, and packed with protein, vitamin C, B vitamins, iron, and magnesium — pea sprouts are a nutrition-dense addition to salads, sandwiches, soups, and smoothies.
These Redei sprouting peas are carefully selected for germination performance. You can expect a high germination rate, minimal broken seeds, and consistent results — whether you are growing simple sprouts or full microgreens.
Sprouts vs Microgreens — what is the difference?
- Sprouts: Grown in water only (no soil), ready in 3–5 days. Crunchy, sweet, eaten root and all.
- Microgreens: Grown in a thin layer of growing medium (e.g. coco coir) until the first true leaves appear, 7–12 days. Deeper flavour, higher nutrient density, greener colour.
How to sprout
Soak seeds for 8–12 hours, drain, and spread in a flat sprouting dish or place in a jar with a mesh lid. Rinse twice daily and drain well. Sprouts are ready in 3–5 days. For microgreens, sow soaked seeds onto a thin layer of coco coir and grow near a bright window.
Redei sprouting seeds are optimised for germination — not just repacked bulk grain. This means a more consistent result and less waste.
