A red and white elephant and geometric print covers this pet bed. It is 60 cm long and 50 cm wide, with padded sides 14 cm high. The cover is polyester, the filling synthetic fibre, it weighs 0.96 kg and is made in China.
A bed you don't need to hide
If you'd rather not tuck your pet's bed away in a corner, this one can go in front of the sofa or in the middle of the living room. The red print goes well with a colourful rug or a red armchair. It is bright without looking childish, and sits nicely beside a woven throw or a patterned cushion.
On a patterned cover, the odd stray hair or small mark shows less than on a plain, pale one. The same bed also comes with green elephants on a cream background.
For pets that sleep curled up
The soft centre suits cats and small dogs that sleep curled into a ball, and the padded edge gives them a wall to lean against.
Low edge, easy access
At 14 cm, its sides are the lowest of the rectangular beds in this line, and they dip further at the front. A puppy or an elderly cat can step over easily. If your pet no longer likes to jump, that is worth bearing in mind.
Once you've opened the parcel
The bed comes vacuum-packed. Shake it out, loosen the filling and leave it in a warm room. Within a few days it regains its shape and the creases disappear.
Should your pet only sniff round it at first, put a toy or its old blanket inside. Many animals lie down sooner next to something familiar.
