Razzle Dazzle soap comes in one 1.3 kg loaf, 24 cm long, 8 cm wide and 6 cm high. The maker has already cut it into 13 slices, so there's no knife work for you. Each slice weighs about 100 grams and is roughly 2 cm thick, the size of an ordinary bar of hand soap. It is handmade soap, made in the United Kingdom. The maker gives no scent notes.
Red and pink marble
The soap is a bright red, marbled through with pink. The pattern runs right through the loaf, so each slice looks a little different. In a white or grey bathroom you can see the colour from across the room, especially next to a white towel.
A romantic little gift
With its red and pink colouring, it makes a lovely present for Valentine's Day or an anniversary. Wrap a slice in tissue paper, tie a ribbon round it, and it's ready to give. If you're thinking of several people, the 13 slices of the loaf will cover 13 small gifts, and as the slices are the same size, everyone gets the same.
At Christmas the red looks good with pine-green and gold wrapping. It also looks lovely in a dish together with slices of the deep brown Dubai Truffle and the peachy Pink Charlotte from the same series.
Storing the other slices
Keep just one slice out by the basin. Store the rest somewhere dry and airy so they don't take on moisture. On a slatted soap dish the slice in use dries better between washes. When a slice has worn thin, press it onto the next one while wet and the two will stick together.
