The golden bands of tiger's eye
Tiger's eye is a much-loved mineral, whose gold-brown banding creates a silky-lit effect: when you move the stone, light runs across its surface. This property is called the chatoyancy effect. The pendant is uncut, so you will see a different banding on every example.
Why it is a universal piece
The warm brown colour is appealing to both genders: understated yet eye-catching. Many of our male customers choose it on a leather cord, and many women on a thin silver chain. You can adjust the threading to your own style.
The structure of the pendant
The stone is held by a silver-coloured metal setting, keeping its raw, original shape. The setting grips it from the side and back, so it holds firmly while worn. A loop on top for your own chain.
What it goes with
It looks good with a white shirt, a dark jumper or jeans for everyday wear. Understated at the office, characterful at dinner. You can also choose it as a gift for Father's Day, a birthday or a graduation.
Protection and cleaning
Tiger's eye is moderately hard and copes well with daily wear. You can wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then dry it. Please do not use chemicals or an ultrasonic cleaner, and store it in a separate pouch.
Tiger's eye is among the few minerals that you will not get tired of even after years, because the surface pattern keeps changing with the movement of light. This effect is really worth seeing live; on a photo it only partly comes across. A durable, resilient piece for daily wear.
You receive one of the classics of universal yet characterful wear.
