Raw mineral pendant – Citrine (heat-treated amethyst) with uncut stone

Raw citrine pendant (from heat-treated amethyst) with an uncut stone and fine metal setting. Warm yellow-orange colour, cheerful wear for every occasion.

The origin of citrine's colour

The citrine you receive in this pendant is created from heat-treated amethyst. The original purple colour of amethyst transforms into yellow-orange tones at higher temperatures, and this is how most citrine on the market is produced. After the transformation the stone remains a natural mineral, only its colour changes. It is important that you know this so you understand the true content of your purchase.

Why this pendant may be for you

The warm yellow-orange colour is especially pleasant in the greyer months, as it adds a cheerful mood to your outfit. The uncut surface offers a natural shine, and every piece arrives with a unique pattern. You receive jewellery whose colour is attention-catching on its own, yet not flashy.

Which outfits it pairs with

The yellow-orange tone harmonises with beige, cream, chocolate brown and khaki shades. It is also excellent with white or black base colours, where it adds contrast. You can wear it in autumn with knitwear, in winter with a coat, and in spring with a light blouse. Many of our customers also like it for evening and festive occasions.

How to choose a matching chain

No chain is included with the pendant. A gold-toned chain emphasises the warm colour of citrine even more. A silver chain gives a cooler, more modern effect. A leather cord shows a more natural-looking style. Since the stone is about 2–3 cm in size, a 45–55 cm chain length is most often chosen.

Things to watch out for in use

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as the colour of some citrines may fade over a long time. Keep the jewellery away from chemicals, perfume and cosmetics. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Store it separately in soft fabric, so other jewellery does not scratch it.
