What is the difference between Jadeite and Nephrite?

Jadeite and Nephrite are two different mineral species, although both are colloquially called "jade". Jadeite is a sodium aluminium silicate in the pyroxene group, harder and generally more valuable. Nephrite is a member of the amphibole group with a tougher structure.
