Sound and character
The full-thickness 65 cm cowhide produces a deep, weighty, carrying fundamental. The dense fibre gives strong bass and long sustain while the overall voice holds the room. It is the classic foundation for serious-bodied, present-sounding drums.
How to use
For large frame drums intended for ceremonial or big-circle use. Drums of this size are usually played on a stand or laid flat so the hands can work freely. The skin is pre-cut to feeltone frame sizes — no extra trimming needed.
Why this product
You can choose the full-thickness version, which delivers the firmest, most solid voice. If you want to build a deep, powerful, long-lasting drum, this is the right pick. German origin and hand preparation ensure consistent quality.
Care tips
- The thicker hide may need 6 hours of soaking to fully saturate.
- Ask for a helping hand when lacing — even tension is essential.
- Let the drum dry slowly for 3-5 days.
- Store at stable humidity to prevent cracking.
