Sound and character
At 50 cm the cowhide gives a truly deep, carrying fundamental. The voice is full-bodied, sustained and rich, with overtones opening up clearly above. This size is ideal for circles where the drum needs to hold space and where the player wants noticeably deeper bass.
How to use
For hand-built frame drums. The 50 cm size adds real weight and presence; it suits ceremonial work, sound circles and stage use alike. After soaking, lace it onto the frame and let it dry naturally.
