Quartz Pendulum with Coloured Accent Stones

A clear quartz point and a silver-tone setting with tiny coloured stones, on a long metal chain. About 25 cm in total.

On this pendulum, tiny coloured stones join the colourless quartz. It is made of clear quartz pieces and a long quartz point, with a silver-tone setting decorated with small coloured stones. Hanging from a long metal chain, it measures about 25 cm including the chain. Made in India.

Coloured stones on a silver-tone setting

The quartz point stays clear, and the colour comes from the tiny stones on the setting. That makes the pendulum more decorative than a plain quartz point, while the clear tip still shows the direction of the swing.

Colourless quartz is also called rock crystal, and tradition sees it as a stone of clarity. Quartz is part of everyday life too: in a quartz watch, the vibration of a tiny quartz plate keeps the time.

Keep your questions short and clear

Short, simple questions are easiest with a pendulum. Ask one at a time, briefly, so it can be answered with yes or no. A question like “will everything be fine” is too broad, while a specific question about today is easier to watch for an answer.

Sit at a table with your elbow resting and your wrist relaxed. Do not try to steer the swing with your hand, just watch. If the stone only trembles and sets off in no direction, put it down and ask later.

Keeping the accent stones looking good

Wipe the setting and stones with a soft, dry cloth and do not soak them in water. The accent stones are small, so do not store the pendulum loose with other jewellery where it could catch. Clarity and inner markings of natural quartz vary, so yours will look a little different from the picture.
