This pendulum is made of a polished quartz piece, a long sunstone point in a warm tangerine shade, a copper-coil middle section and a silver-tone cap. It hangs from a long metal chain, measures about 25 cm including the chain and was made in India.
Warm sunstone, clear quartz
Sunstone has a warm tangerine colour, and many pieces contain tiny metallic flakes that sparkle in the light. Next to the clear quartz this warm colour shows even more strongly, and the copper coil carries the same warm tone further.
Sunstone belongs to the same mineral family as moonstone and labradorite. Tradition sees it as a stone of joy and sunlight, and colourless quartz as a stone of clarity.
Same place, same way, every time
It helps to ask from the same place and in the same position each time, so the conditions do not change. Pick a quiet table at home where you can rest your elbow comfortably. If you always sit in the same chair, your hand soon gets used to the movement.
Hold the end of the long chain and wait until the sunstone point is completely still. Leave a short pause between two questions. The clear quartz and the warm-coloured point are easy to see over a light tabletop.
Care and colour variation
Wipe the metal parts and stones with a soft, dry cloth and do not soak them in water. A soft brush sweeps dust out from between the turns of the coil. Shade and sparkle of the sunstone and clarity of the quartz vary from piece to piece, so yours will look a little different from the picture.
