Quan Yin Statuette – White Polyresin, 12 cm

Quan Yin, the goddess of compassion, as a 12 cm white polyresin statuette from China. A quiet presence for home altars, meditation corners or gifts.

Quan Yin, a quiet keeper of compassion

The Quan Yin statuette brings one of the most beloved figures of Chinese tradition into your home. Known as the goddess of compassion and friendship, she is said to protect those who travel by sea, to hear every prayer and to support those who ask for help. In many homes she is a faithful companion of the quieter moments of life.

White polyresin with fine detailing

The 12 cm statuette is hand-cast in polyresin in China. Polyresin is a mixture of resin powder and lime powder, durable and finely detailed when polished. During production, the proportion of resin and lime powder as well as the temperature control gently shifts the shade – so every piece is unique, ranging from a more translucent, milky white to a more porcelain-like white.

What does the nectar in her hand mean?

Tradition holds that Quan Yin is often shown holding a vase of long-life nectar and a twig from the weeping willow, whose trailing leaves let raindrops drip down like tears. She is sometimes called the Mary of the East, said to embody an energy similar to Mary and Tara.

Where to place her at home

Set her on a home altar, a bookshelf, in a meditation corner or on the quieter side of a desk. She also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who looks for small signs of calm in everyday life. Her modest size takes little room, yet her presence softens the space around her.

Care

Wipe occasionally with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid strong chemicals and sudden impacts. Suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor use, though prolonged direct sunlight may slowly fade the colour.
