This elephant-design Qigong ball pair is a pleasantly weighted Chinese meridian ball set that sits comfortably in the palm. The red and white tones together with the detailed elephant motif make the pair a thoughtful gift idea: in Eastern tradition, the elephant symbolises wisdom and perseverance. The standard 3.5 cm size suits beginners best.
How to use them in your palm
Place both balls in one palm and rotate them slowly in circles with your fingers — first letting them touch, then, at a more advanced stage, keeping them separated. The practice is silent and can be done sitting or standing, even while reading or watching television.
The soft inner chime
The 3.5 cm size contains a delicate inner sound plate that produces a soft, clear chime as you roll the balls. This quiet tone helps you focus on the movement and many practitioners find it a soothing companion to their daily routine.
The origin of the tradition
The Chinese tradition traces these palm-rolled health balls back to the 16th-century Ming dynasty and the era of Emperor Jia Jing. According to tradition, stimulating the energy points of the palm supports the flow of Qi. We mention this strictly as tradition, never as a medical claim.
Who will enjoy this pair
You can confidently choose this set as a gift: the red and white colours and the elephant illustration are eye-catching yet refined. A lovely choice for an older family member, for hand-exercise enthusiasts, or for anyone who enjoys slowing down in a quiet moment.
Storage and care
The pair arrives in a decorative Chinese gift box, so you can display it on a shelf when not in use. To clean, a dry or slightly damp soft cloth is enough; please avoid chemicals and abrasives.
