Winter Ember pumpkin is a modern, excellent-flavoured new variety. Long-season, Nagydobos-type — meaning a modern version of the Hungarian classic. Skin colour is grey, flesh is orange, creamy texture. Semi-flat in shape.
Growing
Sow in April–May in the garden. Row and plant spacing 250 cm — needs lots of space. Sowing depth 4–5 cm.
Roasted pumpkin, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, jam, gnocchi. Stores for months in a cool place.
