Introduction
The Premium Monolina Monochord in Ebony & Ivory finish is an instrument that catches the eye before it even sounds. The deep, dark wenge frame meets the soft, light maple soundboard in a contrast that echoes Paul McCartney's famous song „Ebony and Ivory” – the dialogue between black and white, masculine and feminine, yin and yang. The Feeltone workshop of course does not use protected ivory or rare ebony; instead, sustainable wenge and maple stand in for that dialogue.
In F tuning, this Monolina is one of the two lowest variants. Its base note is full, vibrating, and likely to resonate deep inside your body.

Sound and character
The F-tuned Monolina has a warm, full sound with a more grounded character than the higher variants. The denser wenge wood reinforces the vibration, so the body breathes longer and deeper. The 24 overtone strings weave a fine, floating cloud around the F base note, while the 5 bass and 5 fifth strings provide a steady foundation. Played on opposite sides, the two voices speak separately: one side meditative and floating, the other grounded and bass-rich.
How to use
The Premium Monolina is ideal for individual sound consultations, sound massage, meditation, yoga and relaxation practice. Since it is light and compact, you can hold it in your lap or place it on the included small round stands close to the body. Therapists often work near the client's head, chest or back so the vibration can travel directly through the body.

Care tips
The monochord sounds its best in a quiet, calm space. Check the tuning regularly with the included tuner; tuning the strings can itself become a meditative ritual. By alternating the two santoor mallets and two felt mallets you can draw out different characters: the mallets produce a soft, cushioned resonance, while plucking with your fingers gives a closer, more intimate sound.
