Sound and character
F is the second-deepest tuning in the Monolina range: rich in vibration, full, yet a touch lighter than the D. The overtones receive ample space, while the bass still has a tangible massaging effect. Many feel that this tuning sits in balance between depth and lightness.
How to use
The F-tuned Monolina is particularly well suited to:
- Longer sound therapy sessions where both full vibration and overtone richness matter.
- Group meditations, where the sound needs to carry across the space.
- Body and energy work where the felt bass grounds the client.
- Your own home meditation practice if you are looking for a deep yet spacious sound field.
Why this product
The cherry-wood frame and body give the F tuning a special warm, organic character. If you love the physical experience of the bass yet want the instrument to remain easy to play, F is particularly suited to you. The high-quality material ensures sound stability for many years.
Care tips
- Let the strings fully decay before starting a new motif.
- Use the santoor mallets to shape melody and the felt mallets for softer, floating sound.
- The monochord scarf lets you easily control the intensity of the overtones.
- Store the instrument in an evenly heated room and avoid direct sunlight.
