Introduction
The Premium Monolina Monochord in Inverse finish, in D tuning, is the deepest variant of the Monolina range. The reversed contrast plays a special role here: the dark cherry soundboard adds depth and warmth, while the ash frame brings lightness and shimmer. The matching birch stands keep a fine, light contrast.
The D tuning gives the instrument a dense, bass-rich, strongly vibrating character – ideal for sound work where the bodily sense of vibration matters.

Sound and character
The D-tuned Monolina is the deepest variant of the range: full, bass-rich and strongly vibrating. The cherry soundboard gives this voice a velvety, warm character, so the sound stays cushioned and rounded. The 24 overtone strings build a floating overtone cloud above the D base note, while the bass and fifth strings provide a deep carrier layer.
How to use
The D-tuned Premium Monolina Inverse is especially well suited to deep, body-oriented sound work and sound massage, where the sense of vibration is essential. Held in the lap or on the included small round stands close to the client's body, the bass strings can be felt directly. It is also excellent for personal meditative practice and quiet stillness.

Care tips
The monochord sounds its best in a quiet, calm space. Check the tuning regularly with the included tuner. Alternate the two santoor mallets and two felt mallets to draw out different characters: the felt mallets give a soft, cushioned resonance, the santoor mallets a brighter, bell-like sound.
